Elite gaming guild Perion DAO and Smart Token Labs are launching Season Rewards NFT (SRNFT), a programmable smart token developed by both parties to reward top-performing players. The gaming guild also recently raised substantial investment ahead of its Public Token Sale.
The lucky players who will get their hands on a SRNFT will be the top 100 Perion scholars from Season 19 of Axie Infinity. Through being issued a SRNFT, each scholar will receive exclusive merchandise rewards based on their finishing position within the leaderboard.
SRNFT will go live in late January, with the top 100 players being able to redeem their tokens on Deep Sea Merch , a new platform which serves dynamic scholar rewards based on token rarity. The platform is also embedded with TokenScript, the open-source framework SRNFTs are built with. Perion co-founder Mitch Penman-Allen had this to say on the guild’s new inventive rewards system:
“Season rewards NFTs are an innovative way to reward our player base, in both a tangible and digital sense. Optimising for player engagement and participation drives value for the Perion DAO as a whole, and gives our players a real sense of belonging and achievement. Smart Token Labs operates at the forefront of the NFT interoperability and we’re excited to partner with them and continue building into 2022”.
The partnership between Perion and Smart Token Labs will continue throughout 2022, with the SRNFT project expected to facilitate the release of more exclusive loyalty rewards and incentives for the Perion community.
The Australian-founded DAO has also begun hosting a week-long PERC Token Sale which started on January 21st. The sale, which is taking place on the Tokemak platform, follows the company’s three-times over subscribed funding round which raised $8.6 million. The round saw investment from the likes of venture capitalists Framework Ventures, Alameda Research, Spartan Group, and Panterra Capital.
